We hold networking events on a quarterly basis, held on the first Thursday of January, April, June, and September. These meetings feature guest speakers, a rundown of upcoming events and opportunities, and a casual environment to meet and get to know the local business owners in the area. Prospective members are welcome to attend!
Becoming a successful business owner doesn’t happen overnight. Many of our members have been successfully in business for decades. These business owners not only understand the basics of business, but also understand local and regional policies, politics and business dynamics. Shop Small La Plata is an annual event that highlights the many excellent businesses in La Plata, Maryland. This event happens in late Spring every year, and features many promotional opportunities for small businesses to showcase themselves.
Do you like bingo? Do you like shopping? Stroll through the town combines the two! This annual shopping festival takes place in late August of every year, and features significantly increased foot traffic to the many businesses in the La Plata area. Sponsorship and marketing opportunities abound!
Rocktoberfest is an annual outdoor family fun live music event that takes place in early October every year. Live performances, street & food vendors, a kids zone, a beer truck, raffles, and day-long music. The La Plata Business Association supports and helps promote this annual festival.
